This Cheeseburger In Paradise is located right at the corner of Ala Moana Blvd and Kalakaua Ave and serves up all sorts of cheeseburger styles, fish tacos, and sandwiches.
Our waitress (Pua) told us that the most popular burger choices where the BBQ bacon burger, guacamole burger, and California burger so we tried the BBQ ($11.99) and were not disappointed. It was a large burger and plenty of food without ordering fries. The bacon was cooked well (not too soggy) and their BBQ sauce is very tasty. Just an overall excellent burger.
We also tried the fish tacos with mahi mahi ($14.49) which includes three very large tacos. Although the flour tortilla was a little cold, the tacos were very good and a good value and went well with a bottle of Corona ($6.25).
Service here was good, better than average, and friendly. The entire restaurant is open air so on a really hot day with no breeze this probably isn't the best place to come in and cool down. Our only other complaint was the cost of a soda at $3.45 each.
