Great service, really good food, good value, but a bit of a hole in the wall. I look forward to going back!

Torito's is class Mexican style food and is located in a small strip mall on Kapiolani Blvd, just south of the H1.
The restaurant is a bit of hole-in-the-wall type place. While it didn't feel dirty, you can't help but feel like it could be a little bit cleaner and maybe needs a fresh coat of paint on everything. Then again, maybe that's part of the charm.
I tried a ground beef crunchy taco and it reminded me of a style of taco I loved back in an Illinois restaurant many years ago and that I haven't found since. The ground beef is heavily spiced (though not spicy) and almost takes more like a good bowl of chili than a taco. Delicious!
I also got a shredded beef enchilada and shredded beef chimichanga in my three item combo ($16.95) that also came with rice and beans. The shredded beef was very tender and everything on my plate was very good but only the taco wow'd me. Still, great stuff and a good value too.
I ate here with Tom who ordered a carne asada Torito burrito after asking the waiter for a recommendation. We thought it was a nice touch that the waiter recommended the lunch special because "it is cheap and plenty of food" rather than trying to up-sell us on the pricier entrees and combos.
On that note, we had great service here and our waiter was friendly, helpful, and quick to bring extra salsa and drink refills.
