To find Honomanu Bay you'll start by heading east on the Hana Highway, you're looking for a skinny road between mile markers 13 and 14 that will then take you down to sea level.
Depending on how this road looks when you go, it is often best to park roadside above in one of the few pull out areas and walk down.
The beach here isn't really much of a sandy beach at all, just rocks and pebbles. It's also not a place where you want to swim because it's so rocky and there can be some dangerous offshore surf and rip currents. Local fisherman seem to enjoy though.
If the surf is up you might see some advanced surfers doing their thing down here. Unfortunately, there are no facilities at all here so it's not really a place we'd recommend stopping at unless you want to watch some surfing or take some pictures (you can get some great shots here).
