Matt Anderson's Take
Baldwin Beach Park is located right off the Hana Highway in Paia, Maui and very easy to find. Just turn onto Alawai Road and head to the end where there should be plenty of parking. Our map / directions page marks the exact location.

The park area has a huge grassy field, complete with a soccer goals. You'll also find plenty of other amenities such as BBQ grills, picnic tables inside a shaded structure, bathrooms, and showers.

Baldwin Beach is very nice but the waves do break right on the shore and there is a steep drop off once in the water. If the ocean is calm then swimming here can be good but if not it might be best to stay out. When in doubt, talk with the lifeguard on duty first.

This is one of Maui's better beaches for sure. It's large with plenty of space and most of the time just not all that crowded. Sure, it will pack more people in on weekends but even then it's usually not terrible. During the week it's even better.

Smell the fresh sea air, see the waves and surfers, feel the ocean breezes, and touch the soft sand and fabulous ocean water. Bring your own thing to taste. Great beach to watch the surfers and hang out for the day. Love to feel the sand between your toes.

This is a great beach in Paia. Lots of shade and the backdrop to West Maui is stunning. Water should only be entered if calm. Lots of locals go here, but normally it's not very crowded. Bring some snacks and spend an afternoon just relaxing and taking in the beauty of Maui. Enjoy!

I couldn't get enough of Baldwin and it became my go to beach during my last trip. What a beautiful beach with soft sand and amazing views. Although there were always other beachgoers here with me I always found an area to sneak away into without anyone around me.

This beach is geared toward locals that want to bring family, (and extended family) to enjoy a good beach park. There is a covered structure to take shelter from the occasional rain, with plenty of benches for picnicking. It's a good beach for birthday parties, field games like soccer and football.

The beach is wide and sloped - a launching spot for canoes as well. Baldwin Beach Park is a recreational beach more than sightseeing spot.

Baldwin is another excellent beach. I love everything about this place and it was mostly empty both times I visited.
