Hula Boba is a bubble tea shop in Kapolei. They also serve up smoothies and snow ice (like shave ice) and offer a variety of unusual candies and treats.
What's bubble tea? What's a boba? It's a sweet tea, of various flavors you can choose from, that has balls of tapioca (the boba) put in it. Like sweet tea with bits of candy in it. Good, sweet, yummy. If boba isn't your thing they have other "add in" options like jellies and various other candy-like items. Unfortunately, they don't seem to have any mochi anymore which I prefer to the candy options.
They give you a giant straw so the boba can be sucked up and it's topped off with a heat sealed lid until you poke the straw through. The drinks here are tasty, the service is excellent and friendly, and the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that the sweetness on the drinks here is a bit high and some of the flavors are a little odd.
