Full Description
Anini Beach Park is a good beach for the whole family. It's easy to get to and located along in the town of Kilauea on the north shore of Kaua'i.

This beach is unique as it is protected by Hawaii's longest reef. That means the waters here are usually calm which makes for pretty good snorkeling, swimming, and generally good times hanging out at the beach. The fact that it is protected from the open ocean also makes it a good beach for the keiki (kids).

Anini Beach has a huge grassy lawn, shady areas, picnic tables, showers, and bathrooms. While the locals visit here, especially on weekends, it never feels crowded. That's because the beach itself is quite long so you should easily be able to find a spot to call your own for the day, even when it's busy.

The water here can be super clear and very blue when the sun is out and makes for a beautiful view. If you're visiting Kaua'i, then Anini Beach Park is not to be missed.

Really love Anini and the waters here were quite calm so we were able to do a little snorkeling both times we came. The only downside here is that it always seems a little cloudy in this area. The sun poke through a few times but overall it was always cloudy.

Anini Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on Kauai's North shore. It is about 2 miles long, perfect for young children, with clear water on a large reef. Great snorkeling (but be careful in rough surf there can be riptides in the channels!), reef fishing, paddle boarding, shelling, picnicking at one of the shelters, or camping (requires a permit). Fishing excursions sometimes take off from here and there is usually a food truck at lunch hour parked near the beginning of the park. Note: No lifeguards at this beach.

This is a great family beach since the water is usually calm and much of it is very shallow. There can be some good snorkeling out near the reef area as well. Toss in a large grassy field and picnic tables and it's a good place to spend several hours.

Anini Beach is the most relaxing place I have ever experienced. Very laid back, very quiet with few people and a relaxing sound of water lapping at the shoreline. We usually stay on the South side of Kauai, so we watch the weather for a trip up North to Anini and make plans for the day. We pack a picnic lunch and spend most of the day there relaxing.

Perfect for young families. Great coral reef makes snorkeling easy. Best spot is right in front of the park. Great area just for walking the beach to admire houses or the peaceful ocean. Many rentable homes here to suit all styles. Easy access to Princeville...trail at the far end. Kalihiwai beach is more surfer rugged. Watch the corners! Peaceful area.

Anini beach was a wonderful surprise. As we drove to the beach I saw tons of cars parked, and I was thinking it was gonna be packed. Nope, far from it! The beach is so big we barely saw anyone. And the water was so calm! It was amazing, most water on Kauai can get pretty rough. It was very shallow for quite a ways out. My kids loved it!

This beach is definitely in my top 5. If you want a relaxing, great for family beach this is your spot. There are lots of families camping too so it had a great family vibe. My only complaint is the shower area only has one shower nozzle so only one person could rinse off at a time. Also it had the typical kinda yucky public beach bathrooms that you see at all beach parks.

This is another one of my favorite campsites in Hawaii. It's a great spot for snorkelling as the water is clear. There is plenty of space to pitch up and the pitches aren't on top of one another. You need to obtain a permit and its one of the most popular sites, so it's a good idea to get one in advance.

My favorite beach on the island. Great swimming a turtles all round, and chickens, and cats. An intriguing beach with great swimming conditions and a food truck is often there. A little unnerving tho' when the tsunami warning 'practice' goes off.

Anini beach has to have been one of the highlights of our last trip to Kauai. We were there in the winter months and had the amazing experience of swimming with giant sea turtles at Anini beach. The beach there is wonderful and very family friendly. We will be back in December this year and I can't wait to visit Anini again.
