Emergency Response Location 198A - Beaches On Oahu Kapolei, Hawaii

Okay, okay, I know, let's go over the name. Emergency Response Location 198A. Because we honestly have no idea what this area is called and that was the only sign we could find here so that's what we're calling it.

So, what is it? It's a beach access point to small sandy beach area that doesn't seem to be used much except maybe by some locals who fish around here. And I get the feeling it's probably fishing more for bait using nets than anything else as well. It has a small parking lot but considering there probably won't be anyone here we'll go ahead and call that plenty of parking.

There is no real easy access to the ocean here because it's very rocky. It's also in a pretty nasty industrial area so there is a lot of filthy industry all around you. It's sort of Oahu's dirty little secret over here.

Sounds pleasant, right? Well, it's not really a destination but if you were in the area it could be a neat place to stop at for a little bit because it does have a pretty neat tide pool that is very protected from the ocean. This little pool is just filled with (mostly) small fish and other tiny sea creatures. It's interesting to see and kids would really get a kick out of it because it's easy to spot dozens (maybe hundreds) of small fish swimming in about six inches of water.
