Make no mistake about it, the Dole Plantation caters to tourists. But it can still be fun and is might worth an hour or two of your time to check out.

It has one of the world's largest mazes where you will (for a small fee) walk around trying to find various stations that let you trace a design onto a card. The idea is that you run through the hedges to find all of the designs and then your way out in the least amount of time possible. Kids will likely enjoy this but note that it can get really hot out there so consider doing it first thing in the morning if it's going to be hot out.

After the maze you can go take a ride on their train which will give you a tour through the pineapple fields. There are also various pineapple based photo opportunities to be had on the property as well.

Inside the main building you will find a huge gift shop with all sorts of shirts, jewelry, food and candy, and other various souvenirs. Basically, if the product has anything to do with a pineapple you'll likely find it here. Moving on you will find a counter service restaurant and some dessert options like the famous Dole Whip. All things considered, the Dole Whip is actually a great deal (under $5.00) and gives you a lot of very tasty pineapple flavored sorbet. It's a must try treat!
