The Milolii Ridge Road Trail is a 3.8 mile long (one way, so 7-8 miles round trip) out and back style hiking trail along the northwest side of Kaua'i in the Waimea area. The trail is of moderate difficulty and has elevation changes of around 540 feet overall.

The trail follows and is accessed via an old road that was developed in the 1960's for Forest Management. Getting to Milolii Ridge Road isn't too difficult. From the 550 head west on Makaha Ridge Road and look for the trailhead on your right. Our map / directions page take you right there.

The unpaved road provides access to Kuia Natural Area Reserve, Na Pali-Kona Forest Reserve, and Hunting Unit H. At the end of this trail will be the beginning of the Milolii Vista Trail which offers some amazing ocean views near the end but will add a lot of extra mileage to your hike.

Whether you tackle the Milolii Vista Trail or just the main Milolii Ridge Road Trail be sure you read up on Hiking Safety & Essentials before heading out. Note that there may be hunting near this trail so always wear bright clothing. Be sure to bring plenty of water and apply sunscreen to Protect Yourself From Sunburn & Skin Cancer.
