Nani Mau Gardens is a botanical garden that was originally created by Makato Nitahara, a Japanese immigrant, who transformed a twenty acre papaya patch into a garden.
You'll find Nani Mau Gardens on the south end of the city of Hilo on Hawaii's Big Island. Inside, guests who tour the garden will enjoy a variety of tropical plants and flowers, an orchid garden, fruit trees, and more.
