HI-BBQ

HI-BBQ is an off the beaten path food truck in Kahuku that offers pulled pork, brisket, and other barbecue goodies. It's difficult to find, and located on a farm, but our map pinpoint marks the exact location where you want to end up.

The truck is all to itself on a private ranch that few people get to see. That's what makes it unique. If Hi-BBQ is open, then you'll see signs on Kam Highway near the gated road indicating so. From the Kamehameha Highway, you'll need to turn onto Cane Haul 7 Road. You'll see a street sign for it and it only turns mauka (towards the mountains). You'll likely see the BBQ signs right where you turn as well. Follow this old and winding road passed the giant wind mills until it ends with a large building on a farm. Believe it or not, this is where you'll be eating even though it feels like you don't belong here.

The owner said the meat is sourced from the mainland, but they hope to have their slaughter operations in place soon to use their own grass fed beef. They are also making plans to import grass-fed beef from the Big Island.

There are a few picnic benches to sit and enjoy your meal while looking at the views of the ocean at Kahuku.
