The Anna Ranch Heritage Center is located in Kamuela (also known as Waimea) and is still a working ranch today. This history 110 acre ranch was once the former training grounds for Kipu'u pu'u Warriors run by King Kamehameha. In 1848 the property was acquired by James and Ka'ipukai Fay who were the great-great grandparents of Anna Lindsey Perry-Fiske, which the ranch is now named after.

Anna was born in the year 1900 and raised into the ranching life. She learned to rope, ride, and tend to cattle at a young age. When her father, William M.S. Lindsey, died in 1939 Anna took over the ranch (then known as Lindsey Ranch). Anna introduced innovative ranching practices and new breeds of cattle, known as Brahma and Charolais, to Hawaii and earned her the title of "The First Lady of Ranching".

Living a full and exciting life to the age of 95, Anna was known as an especially rare woman of many talents. It was her dream to create a heritage center on the ranch that would celebrate Hawaii's ranching history. She set aside her land and ranch house as gifts to the community to help ensure that the history of ranching in Hawaii would be shared and live on.

Anna Ranch, as it's now named, was placed on the Hawaii State Register of Historic Places in 2005 as well as the National Register of Historic Places in 2008. The main ranch house as well as outbuildings have been restored to a period that reflects the time of Anna and her parents.

The property is open to visitors who are encouraged to tour the historic home as well as walk through the grounds and gardens. An onsite gift shop sells a variety of locally made arts and crafts.

For those looking for a unique setting to get married (see Getting Married In Hawaii), Anna Ranch offers an excellent wedding venue. They also cater to meetings and other gathering groups.
