Matt Anderson's Take
Kamokila Hawaiian Village is a 4 acre property with historical and cultural exhibits as well as natural habitats from centuries ago. The last reigning King of Kauai, King Kaumuali'i was a one-time resident and it was reported to be his favorite dwelling. The area is alive Wailua River Valley's natural wildlife.

They also have outrigger canoe rides offering visitors an opportunity to try out their paddling skills. The grounds are also available for weddings.

Kamokila Hawaiian Village is located along Kuamoo Rd across from Opeakaa Falls and alongside the Wailua River. This village was used in some movie in the past ( I believe Congo and Outbreak to name a few). This village is recreated and has many displays of village life in old Hawaii. It is a walk through self-guided tour and is of historical significance. It is an interesting exhibit if you would like to learn about early Hawaiian life.
