Located in Lihue is a 116 foot tall concrete and wood lighthouse that over looks Nawiliwili Bay at Ninini Point. It was first built in 1906, but was reconstructed to it's current form in 1933. The lightkeeper has been replaced by and automated system that was implemented in 1953. With permission, there is a maintenance volunteer that occasionally offer visitors an opportunity to enjoy the remarkable views from the top.
There are also views of secluded Ninini Beach.
