Submarine excursion to a sunken schooner off Lahaina.
Tours: Boat & Submarine
The Carthaginian II is a 100 foot two masted schooner that was intentionally sunk off of Lahaina to create an artificial reef. Atlantis Submarines prepared the vessel to ensure it was safe for marine mammals and divers. It was carefully sunk about a half mile off of Lahaina at a depth of 95 feet.
A thriving artificial reef developed with an abundance of colorful tropical fish. Atlantis now offers sight seeing tours to the sunken vessel on it's submarine tour. The submarine seats 48 people on it's battery powered vessel.
The company soon incorporated the fascinating sight of the sunken Carthaginian II into its submarine tour.
Atlantis Submarines offers six undersea tours daily, departing from Lahaina Harbor each hour from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
