One Nine At Kapolei - Restaurants On Oahu Kapolei, Hawaii

One Nine at Kapolei is located at the Kapolei Golf Club. I just wasn't impressed with my breakfast here. To even get seated took 10 minutes in a restaurant that had 3 tables of people in it. After that, the service was incredibly slow for everything. Not bad service, and the waitress was nice and friendly, but just too slow. They need more servers working here.

As for the food? Meh. I ordered the Fruit Pancakes which I thought meant fruit in the pancakes. Turns out they were plain pancakes with some fruit piled on top. Okay, I can work with that. But the pancakes just aren't that great. Sure, they have an interesting crispy outside and are fluffy inside but not much flavor. The syrup tasted like the cheap / fake syrup variety, not true maple syrup.

I heard so many good things about how special the pancakes here are but it simply didn't live up to the hype. Combine that with incredibly slow service and what exactly is the draw to this place?

Two pancakes for $8 with no sides? Not exactly a deal. So what's to like here? Very nice views. I'd come back if friends wanted to go, but it otherwise won't be on my list of places to try again anytime soon.
