Paniolos Hawaii - Restaurants On Oahu Kailua, Hawaii

Paniolos Hawaii is a quick serve Mexican restaurant that appears to be similar to Chipotle style restaurants. I've read a lot of reviews on Paniolos and almost every single one compares it to Chipotle in some form.

It's easy to see why considering they have the same exact setup and menu options. Walk up to the counter and choose a burrito, 3 tacos, or a bowl. Then pick your choice of rice, meat (chicken, steak, tofu), and beans. Then add in your toppings from choices such as lettuce, cheese, sour cream, guacamole (extra cost), salsa, and so on.

It's basically Chipotle, at least in spirit. In flavor it's nothing like Chipotle and that's okay. If you went in expecting a Chipotle you may be a little disappointed but if you go in looking for fresh, quality Mexican food (fresh mex style) then you will be pleasantly surprised because the food is very good. It feels very fresh and almost healthy, not at all heavy and greasy. The meats were even organic.

I went for a Chicken burrito and loved it. It was huge, though a little pricey at around $9. It filled me up yet I'm craving another one. I have no complaints what-so-ever here. It was clean inside, the line moves fast, the staff were friendly, and the food is great. I'll be back for sure! Now, how do we get one of these on the west side of Oahu?
