The Pacific Tsunami Museum is all about tsunami history and education. The facility is located in Hilo where the infamous tsunami of 1946 struck the Big Island and they have a huge array of documention, photographs, and exhibits about that event on display.
Guests will also find information of what causes tsunamis as well as learn what to do in the event of one. Kids will enjoy various hands on exhibits showing the science behind these powerful and dangerous events.
General admission is $8 (seniors and kama'aina are $7), children 6-17 are $4, and those under 5 are free.
