Full Description
Roy's is located on the 18th hole of the Ko Olina Golf Club and offers some nice views of the golf course from both inside and out. You'll actually pull into and park in the golf course parking lot and then walk towards the main set of buildings where the golf course store is located and there you will find Roy's.

They describe their food as Hawaiian Fusion which is chef speak for fancy food. They take a lot of Hawaiian inspired dishes as well as various American dishes and put a fancy, upscale twist on them. They're great about using high quality ingredients and the result of all that is classic dishes with a unique twist and great tastes.

Great restaurant in Ko'Olina! It's pricey but worth it. We usually only go here for special occasions. The scallops are to die for! And all of the drinks are amazing. Service is always on point. It's a great place to get dressed up (which doesn't often happen in Hawaii) and enjoy a special night out!

Service here is always excellent when we go (like impossible-to-finish-your-water-before-they-refill-it excellent), the place is always very well maintained, and you're probably going to love whatever it is that you order. We've yet to find something that we didn't love and a crowd favorite here is the French dip sandwich which will likely be better than any French dip you've ever had!

For dinner, there are tons of meat and seafood options and I'm happy to report that Roy's makes the second best filet I've ever had. The absolute best is still from Le Cellier (Canada pavilion in Epcot, Disney World) but that's an act nobody can follow so Roy's being the second best is something very special in my mind.

The desserts are just as good as the appetizers and main courses so be sure to try them out. The chocolate souffle is the single most popular item but it's only available for dinner (not lunch) and you'll want to put your order in right away as it can take over 20 minutes to make. If you go for dinner get the chocolate souffle, no exceptions.

Roy's is worth a visit if you are anywhere in the Ko Olina Resort area and it's likely to be a bit of wallet buster with lunch for two likely ringing in $60 or more with tip and dinner adding another $30 or more. So stick with lunch if you're on a budget, have waters to drink, share an appetizer and a single main course and then a dessert and you'll be glad you did.

If you're not on a budget then go for dinner and with an appetizer, a couple of entrees, a couple of souffles, and some alcoholic beverages and you'll see a bill that's in the $150 and up range easily. Painful, but delicious.

You can't go wrong with Roy's. Everything I have tried was good so far. I've had their Smoked Mongolian Spiced Baby Ribs, Blackened Island Ahi, Macadamia Nut Crusted Island Fish, and Butterfish. They were all excellent. But my very favorite dish is Roy's Melting Hot Chocolate Souffle. You have to order it early on because it takes long time to cook it. When it's served, it's hot with molten chocolate center and it comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Pure heaven!

Roy's is located on the golf course at Ko Olina. It's a beautiful setting, especially the outdoor bar which has a great view of the pond and golf course. The cuisine is first rate, as are the mixed drinks. On every occasion I've dined at Roy's, the service has been first rate. However, on my birthday this past August, we had one of the worst servers I've experienced ever.

We ordered that we weren't happy with. No big deal - just ask the waiter to tell the bartender to fix it, It happens. But on this occasion, the server put it back on us and made comments that inferred we were wrong to request fixing the cocktails. It was unprofessional and really put us off. Especially at a nice place like Roy's.

However, I'm not going to knock Roy's on my review because of a single bad server. I have a feeling this server is gone, but to be honest I haven't been back since. My experiences at Roy's had always been positive to this point. Roy's is a premium restaurant and think they should screen their servers better.

Roy's has amazing food! The only thing that has ever disappointed me here has been the Fish and Chips. The fish was really greasy. Other than that everything has been great. The service is fast and servers are friendly.

It's really expensive so we mostly go for lunch where the prices are a bit better but it's always good.
