The first thing you notice when you walk up to Boots and Kimo's in Kailua is the big line of people waiting outside. Somebody is doing a great job marketing this place in Japan because it was primarily Japanese tourists willingly waiting for the opportunity to try the famed Macadamia nut pancakes.
Boots and Kimo's looks like a sports bar with all the memorabilia on the walls - it has a fun happy ambiance to it - similar to what you'd see at sports bars on the mainland. There are quite a few tables but pretty crammed together, which is not uncommon in Hawaii.
