As you enter the Keaiwa Heiau State Recreation Area, the historic rock heiau, known as Keaiwa Heiau, is located to the left. There are picnic tables, restrooms, BBQ pits, and 10 campsites. The park is 384-acres and is located in hills above Aiea and Pearl Harbor.
Keaiwa Heiau State Park is located in central Oahu and it's home to the popular Aiea Loop Trail and you'll find the starting point is located at the end of the upper parking area. The park is quite large at 384 acres.
While everyone seems to know of the popular trail, many don't know that this is also home to Keaiwa Heiau which is an ancient medicine shrine. A priest would diagnose and treat your various ailments here. Neat! Be sure to check it out near the entrance to the park.
