The James Campbell National Wildlife Refuge is located on the north eastern shore of Oahu. It is 160 acres of wetland habitat that is aiding in the recovery of four of Hawaii's endemic birds, the Hawaiian Stilt, Hawaiian Moorhen, Hawaiian Coot, and Hawaiian Duck.
All four birds are listed as endangered species.
Entrance into the refuge is by participating in scheduled tours led by refuge staff only.
