Kanenelu Beach is located right along the side of the Kamehameha Highway. It's very picturesque and looks inviting but the reality is that it's not a great beach. Sure, it's neat to be driving and have a beach you could drop right onto but the downside to that is cars are whizzing by your beach all day long now.
While there is no identifiable sign that will let you know that this is Kanenelu Beach, it's easy to find if you see our map pinpoint. The road is supported by a rock retaining wall. There is little parking along this stretch with plenty of no parking signs around so make sure you are legally parked if you stop here.
Hardly anybody uses this beach but it's common to see locals out here fishing, especially on weekends. It can be a nice beach to swim and enjoy the water. The beach is a beautiful white color. But the thing is, Oahu has far superior beaches to choose from, and a minute of the road is Kokololio Beach Park, which is much better.
