Full Description
White Sands Beach has many names, it is also known as "Disappearing Sands and Magic Sands Beach Park".

During high surf the shorebreak erodes very quickly and washes away all the sand leaving only the lava rocks behind. Which is why Disappearing Sands it one on it's names.

Swimming is good here when the sea is calm. Surfing and body boarding is good during the winter months.

Defiantly on my top list of favorite beaches! Clear blue waters, swimming with turtles, getting to go way out in the water, and the fact the one day there is sand and one day not so much sand! My daughter loved it!

We stayed across from this beach for 4 nights in July 2015. This beach is great for boogie boarding and swimming. Not a huge beach but beautiful white sand. The little cove to the left of it has lots of coral, shells, and sea glass if you want to treasure hunt. Every morning and night we found more to add to our collection. Great views of beautiful sunsets at this beach.

Love this beach! It has nothing to do with it being across the street from our condo! It is small and is not crowded during the times that we are there. Very impressed with the County of Hawaii last year when there was a shark sighting at this beach. They reacted I think the way they should have and did not let anyone in the water until it was safe. The helicopter must have been up and down the beach several times.

Magic sands is a very beautiful beach. It is also right on Ali'i drive. This beach has street parking and also has a parking lot. There are restrooms and showers as well. This beach is VERY popular. It always seems to be busy. The sand is very fine and soft (when it is there). There are also lifeguards at Magic Sands because the water can get a bit rough. A nice stop in Kona with a white sand beach. Get there early to find parking and avoid the crowds.
