Keaukaha Beach Park is a popular locals hangout, especially on weekends, and long term camping area (permit required). It's a good place to do some fishing and maybe to enjoy the beauty of the ocean or just to have a picnic and hang out. All of these reasons are why it's such a good locals beach.
Since there is no sandy beach here, mostly rocks and pebbles, it's not really a beach we recommend for the average tourist. Getting in and out of the ocean here is likely to be a bit tricky for most.
Snorkeling here can be pretty good at times when the ocean is calm but overall you can probably find a better beach park.
