Full Description
This rocky beach usually has calm waters ideal for snorkeling and scuba diving. During the winter months there can be strong currents, use caution. Not good for swimming and there is no lifeguard.

I personally love this beach. It's the opposite of tropical, yet feels like a Hawaiian beach. It's dry and barren, with ironwood trees. But seldom are there crowds here, and it's a fantastic spot to have a picnic. There's a covered pavilion with a million dollar view of the ocean. It secluded, away from crowds, except for the occasional tourists that drop in to take a few pictures then head out.

It's a beach to enjoy for its beauty and less for water activities. There are boulders instead of sand; ironwood trees instead of palms. Probably the unique feature of this beach park is the large old style water tower at the entrance to the park.

There are restrooms, picnic tables, and plenty of parking. I love quiet, beautiful, easily accessible beaches, and this is a great one.
