If you stroll down Kalakaua Ave in Waikiki, your likely to encounter at least one ABC Store on every block. There are over 70 locations throughout the US with 39 stores on Oahu alone. Most of the major hotels and shopping malls have at least one store located within them.
ABC Stores are your typical convenience store to grab a soda, sunscreen, and perhaps a spam musubi. They carry beach needs, groceries, wine & spirits, drugs & cosmetics, souvenirs and local apparel. They also have deli sandwiches, salads, and other entrees.
Fun Fact: The first ABC Stores opened in Waikiki in 1964 by founders Sidney and Minnie Kosasa. They called it ABC Store because it was a name everyone could remember.
