This is a "community owned" park and is managed by a non profit organization called the Lanikai Community Association. It is nicely maintained and is enjoyed by most in the neighborhood. In crowded Kailua, this is sort of a sanctuary for neighborhood recreation away from the crowds.
There is a field for sports such as softball, baseball or soccer. Neighbors also run their dogs here. There is a fenced playground for the kids with slides, and swings for parents to let their kids have fun. There is a picnic pavilion that can be rented from the Lanikai Community Association.
Since it's so close to Lanikai beach, a lot of people try to park here. It is monitored so, if you don't live here, you may be cited. Look at the signs and be careful where you park.
