Waiau District Park is a large community park with a field for soccer, baseball or other activities. There are tennis and basketball courts, restrooms, and a playground for the keikis. Parking is limited next to the park and there can be a lot of mosquitos near the well watered grassy areas. There are tables for picnics. There are a few shaded trees on the periphery of the park. The facilities are nice - the baseball field, playground ,and restrooms are well maintained.
