Beautiful and peaceful location. Spent time walking around the gardens and over the bridges. Great location for a picnic lunch with many great photo opportunities. We came across a local who was fishing and spent some time with him learning about the history. Plenty of parking near and in the park.

Queen Liliuokalani Gardens is a beautiful and clean park to have a picnic, fish at, or just walk around on a sunny day. There are nice little walkways and bridges to walk over in the park. If you're lucky you might even see a wedding in progress. I enjoy taking my grandparents here to walk around because it is a safe place.

Liliuokalani Gardens is done in a beautiful Japanese style. It is a large park with giant banyan trees, ponds, and Japanese influenced architecture. It is located about 5 minutes from downtown Hilo, across from Hilo Bay and Coconut Island. Liliuokalani Gardens has paths that run through the park as well as a great walking path around the park. Great place to take pictures, have lunch or just take in the beauty of Hilo. There are public restrooms here and plenty of parking.
