The Kalaupapa Guided Mule Tour is run by Kalaupapa Rare Adventure and guide guests down the Kalaupapa Trail. If you've got the time and want to visit Kalaupapa Village then this is going to be a very unique experience for you and an adventure to remember.
If you go by mule, the price is $199. If you prefer to hike it's $69. If you want to hike in and fly out you'll pay $159. Or, if you prefer to both fly in and fly out the cost is $249.
The hike will take you a couple hours at most for the average person. It's a spectacular view descending, but remember - there is that hike back up which can be a bit grueling and why they offer an option to fly out! But for the opportunity to see this sad yet fascinating part of Molokai's history is worth it.
