Maui Mikes Fire-Roasted Chicken - Restaurants On Oahu Wahiawa, Hawaii

Maui Mike's Fire-Roasted Chicken is all about rotisserie style chicken and they're big on quality here so their chicken won't have any steroids, hormones, antibiotics, or any other artificial or synthetic additives. Their chickens are raised in large / free roaming enclosures, are never caged, and enjoy a healthy diet.

That's a pretty awesome way to start off any meal in my book. Finishing that meal off with some slow fire roasting on a rotisserie is equally as awesome. Chop it up and put it on a sandwich (in my case it was Maui Mike's Melt Sandwich) with some melted cheddar, bacon, and some of their blazin' chili sauce and you are in for some good times.

The sandwich was excellent, very tasty, and I liked their chili sauce even if it wasn't really spicy at all. It all just worked. The fries are good and getting them Cajun style ($1 more) is the way to go as it adds some seasonings on the fries.

Now let's talk value. I got a full sandwich, Cajun style fries, and a soda (refills are extra) for $10. For quality like this that's a great value in my book. The restaurant itself is very small with just a few tables but people eat fairly fast and move along so it should be fine unless there is a crowd or you can get takeout.

Complaints? None. If I had to get picky I might say the sandwich could have used more sauce so it would be a little less dry in parts. But none of that took away from the overall experience. Although the parking situation does not impact my rating, it should be known that the parking is pretty horrible here. Their tiny, shared lot fills fast so you may need to go park in another nearby lot or side street and walk. Annoying but not a deal breaker.
