Pho Bistro - Restaurants On Oahu Waipahu, Hawaii

Pho Bistro is located in a tiny strip mall in Waipahu and serves up all of the typical Vietnamese style food that's common of this type of restaurant. Go in, pick a table, and you'll be served quickly. I like that menus and water are hitting the table seconds after I sit down. Inside it's a bit of a hole in the wall but it works.

I ordered the spring rolls for an appetizer and have to say that these are among the best around. Perfectly cooked, they tasted so delicious when wrapped up in some noodles, veggies, and wrapped in lettuce. Note that most drinks are served from a can.

They offer a variety of other appetizers, salads, vermicelli, and noodle soups (pho). I went for the classic, and novice friendly, rare beef pho in the large bowl. The broth is clear and tasty, better than many others. The noodles are good and you can plenty of things to drop into your pho to make it just the way you want (including jalapenos).

The pho was excellent and my only real complaint is that you don't get a lot of meat in the pho. Seemed like I just got a handful of smallish pieces and that was it. There were tons of noodles so I didn't leave hungry, quite the opposite, but I'd like more meat in there. I'd certainly eat here again when I'm in the area.
