Maguro ya is a small restaurant with two sushi chefs. We went here on New Years Day. The environment was quaint and traditional. The staff was friendly and courteous. Our sushi chef was amicable and friendly. It can seat maybe 30 people or so. We did'nt have reservations, but luckily, they were able to squeeze us in at the sushi counter. After being seated, we overheard the waitress tell the people after us that there was a two hour wait. This place is very popular.

We ordered the salmon, hanachi, tako, and A spicy tuna hand roll.we also ordered oysters as well. The fish was fresh and delicious. The slices were generous with a small amount of rice. That's perfect. The sign of a high quality sushi establishment.

The staff was friendly and courteous. Our sushi chef was amicable and looked after us. Our experience was positive, and I'm we will come back again. The restaurant itself is not large. It can seat maybe 30 people or so.

Maguro-Ya is open for lunch and dinner and serves dishes such as tenpura teishoku, sasimi taishoku, namako, tyawan musi, shiokara, and mozuku. They offer beer, wine, and sake (as only alcohol), take reservations, and provide a takeout option.
