Eggberts - Restaurants On Kauai Kapaa, Hawaii

Eggberts is located in the aging and very boring Coconut Marketplace in Kapaa and offers breakfast favorites like French toast, egg dishes, and a variety of specialty pancakes.

We stopped by for an early breakfast and were greeted by a friendly waitress who got us seated and took our order quickly. I opted for a short stack of two banana pancakes which were cooked nicely, very fluffy, and had plenty of banana slices in them. The have regular syrup as well as coconut syrup on the table, neither of which was really anything special.

The prices here are reasonable and you get a good amount of food. It's an open air restaurant though the views are nothing more than the parking lot. It's family friendly and a good place to start your day and it was obvious many tourists in the area start many days of their vacation here. Breakfast for two cost us $25 before tip.

Though the food was fine it wasn't anything special, though I'm rarely wowed by breakfast food since it's usually the same anywhere you go if cooked properly. So as much as I'd love to tell you the pancakes were eggscellent they were really just average. I did like that friendly and fairly fast service but really dislike the fact that they only accept cash. Get with the program Eggbert!
