The way people talked about this tree maybe I expected a bit more. It is an impressive tree and is absolutely massive. If you're the Lahaina area you can't miss it and will see it for sure. Not sure if this is a bucket list type item but it is a neat place to enjoy a drink or treat.

I really love the Banyan Tree Park. Fun place, great on the weekend when the art show is there, met some very interesting artist last time we were there, a lot to see, great people to meet, and a lot of great food and snacks just across the street. Really love the shaved ice on the corner. Great way to spend a morning when you are too burned to go back to the beach.

The is the perfect place to gather, meet up with friends and family, rest with some ice cream or shaved ice, and even shop (during events). This is my daughter's favorite tree, she even draws it in school. When the locals are out with the crafts, go there. We had some fabulous take home items from the candle lady! You just can't miss this tree so stop, enjoy and have a seat!

If you go to Lahaina you can't miss the banyan tree. It is very large and interesting. There are many other sites to see right there in the same area. Go down the pier and see the boats. If you are there late in the afternoon the birds fly into the tree and are all chirping loudly.

This is a perfect place to hang out and enjoy your shave ice, you're out of the direct sunlight and for the most part, it's a great place to just sit and enjoy the Hawaiian atmosphere. It's mind-blowing that all that's going on in the park is just one tree! It's close to lots of shops right on the water, they have hula shows and music at different times. It's also perfect meeting spot if your party is splitting up for any reason.
I was recently there for the Banyan tree's birthday celebrations, they had vendors set up with proceeds going to a local high school. Great hand made local Maui art and some pretty interesting creations. Definitely worth a walk by at the very least. I stop in every time I walk by, just to see what's going on! Love this spot.

This area has a lot of history and it was interesting to read up more about the tree during our visit. One word of caution, however, the homeless/vagrants are plentiful here. Many of them don't bother you, but some of them accost you for money or cigarettes. Watch your belongings as well!

For someone from Canada, it is amazing to find out that this is ONE tree. Each weekend we were here there was a swap meet with tables of local art. A great place to sit and relax and get away from the hustle of front street or just browse the local art and crafts.

Beautiful tree in the center of Lahaina. Provides plenty of shade for shoppers. They have swap meets there some weekends. A must see.

Very beautiful, absolutely amazing to walk under the Banyan trees and see the size of them. Only can imagine how long they have been there. Very peaceful, you can just sit there and enjoy the view and the breeze.
