The business started as a pizza delivery until it developed into a café and finally now a restaurant with two locations. Café Pesto in downtown Hilo Bay started July 1992. They have a spacious area, and the design takes you back in time. The ambiance exudes casual yet elegant dining, and the restaurant is just perfect for business meetings, family dining, or a romantic dinner.
You can take your loved ones for lunch or dinner here. Its menu is sourced out from the different multicultural influences that you find throughout the island and is applied with innovation to its unique hand tossed pizza cooked in the wood fire, culturally inspired pastas, various organic salad, fresh seafood, and risottos.
Hailed as the “Best Big Island Restaurant” by a Honolulu Magazine, they have earned a reputation of serving exceptionally fresh food, presented creatively, and priced right.
They are open daily, and they take reservations online anytime of the day. All items in their menu are available for take-out. It is a smoke-free restaurant with free Wi-Fi.
