Full Description
Big Island Breakfast is a breakfast buffet located in the massive Hilton Waikoloa Village resort. It's in a semi-circular building in about the middle of the resort property. From the lobby, head towards the monorail line and turn right (north) and it's just a (relatively) short walk away and has a nice view of their large lagoon. All seating is indoors.

You can order items off of a (very limited) breakfast menu, but this is primarily a buffet and only open for breakfast. Expect many of the usual breakfast favorites like bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, French toast, cereal, pastries, and other breakfast items. They have a made-to-order omelet station as well.

Kids will get a free wristband here as all of the Hilton restaurants have a different colored rubber wristband to collect and when you collect them all you get a free scoop of ice cream. Kids will love the idea and want to collect all of them. Collect the seventh (from the Luau) and you get a free picture with their resident parrot.

I wasn't impressed with Big island Breakfast. The food was okay, but nothing beyond average and some of it wasn't even average. The bigger problem is the price as it will cost you around $30.00 per adult and $10.00 per child (aged 6-12, those under 6 eat free with a paid adult). This is just way too pricey for breakfast, especially one this basic and boring. My French toast was dried out, the bacon tasted like it was of the uber cheap variety, and the pastries were too dry and too hard to even eat.

For the money, this place should be so much better than it is. On that note, it should be far cheaper as well. Nobody is ever eating $30 worth of food for breakfast, it should be half that price and offer better quality food.

The food was good here but service on drinks was a bit slow. The review above sums it up best, it's the price that is just way off here. Far too expensive for what you are getting but there aren't many other breakfast options so people come here. We won't be back :P
