Anyone who's visited Hanalei is probably familiar with Bubba Burgers. It's got a unique name, mentioned in most of the tour guides, and is easily visible from the main road through Hanalei. But what I wasn't aware of was that there are several Bubba Burgers located throughout Kauai.
I was hitchhiking on Kauai a few years ago and John Greco, one of the owners of the Bubba Burger Franchise gave me a ride. He was very friendly and shared with me some stories about Bubbas. He told me that he tries to take care of his employees and in return they do a good job for the company.
I'm a fan of Bubba Burgers. They use local fresh Kauai beef and serve them on a toasted bun with mustard, ketchup, relish and diced onions. Nothing complicated. Recommended.
