Brennecke Beach is located next to (just east of) Poipu Beach Park in the Koloa area on the south side of Kaua'i.
Brennecke is hugely popular with boogie boarders and body surfers because this is one of the top beaches on Kaua'i for those activities. Surfboards aren't allowed near the shore here because it's actually a fairly small beach area.
There is a small lot right off the road by the beach but if that's full then you'll want to look further west down Hoone Road and use one of the larger lots that allows public parking.
If you have kids and the ocean is sending in big waves then you'll want to walk over to Poipu Beach Park instead, otherwise this is a pretty good and safe beach if the ocean is calm. If you're looking to rent a boogie board you can find one across the street at Nukumoi Surf Co.
