Rocky beach so swimming isn't very good here. Interesting area and paths to explore.

Features
• Type: Shady • Sand Type: Regular • Parking: Good / Plenty • Good For: Kayaking

Pua'ena Point Beach Park isn't a very good beach and doesn't really have any water access since the shoreline is very rocky.

There is a lot of sand here but it's fairly coarse and has a lot of rock and tree debris in it. We also noticed a lot of sand flies all along this area which makes even the best beach very annoying.

It is quite shady in here as there are large trees everywhere and you do get some nice views of the ocean, mountains, and island landscape in general. S it's a decent place if you just want to walk around and explore a bit or go sit in the sand and contemplate the meaning of life.

Unfortunately, this isn't what most people are looking for in a beach, though we did find some cool little tide pools that were fun to check out and watch various marine animals do their thing.

It's a bit of a hike from the closest parking area so if you want to go your best bet is to park at the small lot at the end of Kahalewai Place which is right off of Kamehameha Highway and directly next to Haleiwa Beach Park on the far east side. From there, walk to the ocean and follow it off to your right. It will lead to sandy trails that follow the coastline north and east to the point and beyond.

There are no facilities here but you will have access to bathrooms and showers at Haleiwa Beach Park right where you parked.
