Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach Park is located close to the tourist town of Haleiwa on the north shore of O'ahu. Don't confuse this one with Haleiwa Beach Park or Haleiwa Army Beach which are different. In the winter, when the waves are pounding, you'll want to stay out of the ocean.

During the summer, when things are calm, it's a nice place to relax. It's also a good place to kayak or stand up paddleboard, assuming you are beyond beginner status on those.

There is a lifeguard here as well as bathrooms and showers and even picnic tables with some shady areas so it has a lot going for it. The water here isn't bad but just not all that inviting and some areas are a bit murky. This place will pack them in on weekends as many have family parties here.

Some of the areas are rocky but you'll easily spot a couple of large areas where you can easily enter the water. The far east end, beyond the lifeguard tower, seems to be a good area that isn't too rocky with water that is a bit more clear than areas to the west.

Overall Hale'iwa Ali'i Beach offers good amenities, a nice park area, and a large sandy beach to play on.
