Matt Anderson's Take
The Coconut Marketplace is touted as one of Kauai's must see shopping experiences in many of the various freebie style magazines you'll find on Kauai. At one point it probably was and then it got a bit run down over the years. We're happy to report that today, the Coconut Marketplace has been renovated and looks to be attracting quite a few new shops.

They also have a farmer's market here on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. There is also a free hula show which is performed by the students of Halau Hula O Leilani every Wednesday at 5:00 PM and on Saturdays at 1:00 PM so if you're in the area drop by for the show for sure.

This is a fun little market with quite a few stores selling clothing, souvenirs, gifts, etc.

The new coconut marketplace is so beautiful! I can't wait for them to finish up the north end and get more retail and restaurants in there. The grounds are so pretty full of gorgeous tropical flowers and lots of places to sit and enjoy. The farmers market is Nice too, a little small but its twice a week and that is a plus!

The Coconut Marketplace is looking the best I'm seen it in seven years. Crazy Shirts, Hawaiian Music Store, Bobby V's, Lappert's Ice Cream, Kauai Snorkel, and more businesses. My favorite place here is Kau'i oka 'Aina Cultural Center which offers historical displays and cultural demonstrations. Grab an ice cream from Lappert's and enjoy the hula show or farmers markets.
