Kekaha, Hawaii

Kekaha is located the west shore of Kauai. It's name means "the place" in Hawaiian.
The the Kekaha Sugar Mill influence the growth of the town to include a bank, housing, utilities, and more. The mill closed in 2000 after the collapse of the sugar industry in Hawaii.

In 1920 Hawaii had it's one and only train robbery when a local fisherman, who was a fan of Western movies stopped the slow moving sugar train, he escaped with the train and $11,000 from the labor paymaster that was on board. The money were later found in the swamp near the fisherman's home.
