Ewa Beach, Hawaii

Ewa Beach, located on the east side of Oahu, is usually known just as Ewa and is pronounced "eh-va". Ewa means ill fitting or crooked in Hawaiian.

They say that gods Kane and Kanaloa were throwing a stone to create the boundaries of this area, but the stone was lost, thus giving Ewa it's name.

You will find White Plains Beach, Iroquois Beach, and Ewa Beach Park here and the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has it's headquarters here.
