How often do you get to explore in an actual lava tube? Exactly, so why not take a look!

This is an actual lava tube that you can walk around in an explore. It's a self-guided tour and costs around $12 per person (5 and under is free). They claim it to be fun, safe, and easy and there is fresh air and hand rails to hold onto as you go.

They're open 365 days per year and you can expect to spend around 40 minutes here. The temperature inside should be nice year round and it's free of mosquitoes and bats.

Although the trail is easy to follow, this isn't for those who have trouble walking. Compare it to a flat and easy hike. The tube itself is quite long but you're only allowed to go in about 1/3 of a mile.

When you are done you can check out their Red Ti Botanical Garden Maze which, they say, is the only one of it's kind in the world. It's neat looking but not really anywhere near as large as the maze at the Dole Plantation on Oahu (and even that one is pretty boring). But, hey, kids will probably enjoy it for a bit.

When you're done here head down the road a bit to see the Pi'ilanihale Heiau / Kahanu Garden as well. I mean, you're already here so why not!
