Keokea Beach Park isn't really a great swimming beach, though it does have a fairly small man made lagoon area that can be good for smaller keiki (kids) to play and splash around in. So, it's not something that most people will want to drive to but if you're in the area it's a nice spot to check out.

The beach is located in the Kapaau area on the northwest side of Hawaii's Big Island. There is a mile of country road that you'll be driving on to get here so go slow, but other than that it's easy to find. See our map / directions page for exact location.

Once at the beach park you'll see that it offers some decent facilities like bathrooms, showers, some grassy areas, and a large covered pavilion area with picnic tables which would be great for parties.

Besides the small kiddie swimming area, there really isn't any beach area here and everything will be rocky. Swimming is usually poor here and not recommended outside of the protected manmade area.
