Ribs, steaks, seafood, and sandwiches in an old, dark, sports bar type of atmosphere. Meh.

Henry Lou's is an interesting place in an odd location (sort of an industrial / business area). It's hard to find so check our map pinpoint and you'll get there easily.

When we first pulled up there was a guy smoking right outside the main entrance, ironically enough right next to their "no smoking" sign. As soon as we pulled up he went inside and it turns out he was our waiter who then stunk of smoke for our entire meal. That was turn off number 1. While he was very nice and very friendly his service was only average at best.

The front of the restaurant is really turn off number 3. I'm not saying it needs to have some high level of curb appeal but it's just old and dirty. A gallon of fresh paint would go a long way here!

Turn off number 3 is the interior of this restaurant. It feels like a very old sports bar so it's very dark inside, everything feels old and not very clean, and it has a bad order. Picture an old basement where a dozen guys chain smoked for 50 years and then a week ago they started a no smoking rule and you have the interior of Henry Loui's.

I hate to be harsh on this place as I wanted to like it. I ordered the French Dip sandwich and the food arrived quickly. It came with fries which were very good. The sandwich flavor was very good and it was quite large with a lot of meat. While the meat was tender it had too many fatty bits in it.

Even though it was a good size, it was a little pricey at $13.50. I had a soda to drink and it was $2.25 which is reasonable until you see how tiny it is and realize there are no free refills (which they didn't mention at all). So I was out $4.50 for what would be 1 normal sized drink anywhere else. Rip off.

They also serve ribs (which aren't even remotely tender), steaks, seafood, and a variety of sandwiches and salads. There is no kids menu here and I wouldn't recommend bringing kids here. On that note, I wouldn't really recommend coming here at all as you can do much better elsewhere.
