Haleiwa Army Beach is a pretty neat beach located in the town of Haleiwa on the north shore of O'ahu. It's not difficult to get here, you just have to know how.

The easiest way to get here is to get yourself to Pikai Street, which sort of parallels Haleiwa Road but closer to the ocean, via Kaiaka Street (see our map / directions page). If you drive to the far east end of Pikai Street it will dead end and there is no parking at the dead end circle but there is street parking just west of the dead end circle if you can find a spot.

Assuming you can find a spot there, you'll then find a beach access path just to the right (east) of the last house on the ocean side of Pikai Street and it's a short walk right to the beach.

If you can't find parking along Pikai Street there is a very small parking lot at the far west end of Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park right where Walikanahele Road forms a T intersection with Haleiwa Road. You can park there, walk towards the ocean, then turn left (west) and head down a bit and you'll be at Haleiwa Army Beach.

This is a really nice beach and doesn't get a ton of use, especially during the week. If you take the access path off of Pikai Street and then head left when you hit the beach you will find some really nice spots with easy water access. The waves here are usually fairly calm (unless the ocean is angry) so it's a great place for snorkeling, kayaking, and stand up paddleboard.

You won't find any facilities here but you can alway walk to Haleiwa Ali'i Beach Park next door to the east for bathrooms and showers if needed.
