I love Leonard's Malasadas, but I tend to eat too many of them every time I visit. They are best when served hot and fresh. When you visit the Malasadamobile (which is a trademarked name!), make sure to eat them on the spot. Else, the sugar starts to melt into it and it becomes a doughy, unsatisfying donut. The original Leonard's Bakery is in Honolulu on Kapahulu, so it's nice to have one on the West side of Oahu.
My favorite is the Haupia Malasada, but the original sugar ones are good too.
